So I finally had a moment to finish what I started. Been one hell of a year thus far but I am hoping to get back into the swing of painting more frequently. At least that is the plan for now

Is because the digital art has come, so paintings as they are become less popular, and concept art starts filtering itself, so traditional art and themes become less common, i personally like surrealism more but that also becomes rare.
I can understand that, I am a fan of Dali and John Petri both are wonderful surreal artists. Unfortunately I am not able to do that type of work, it is not a good fit for me. In Digital mediums, well, I do some graphic art stuff from time to time. I designed the logo for the band I play in, I also do all the graphic work for the business my wife and I own together.
I am not the greatest photographer as you can see, part of the problem I think is my studio is poorly lit and I do not have a tripod soooooo .... things get a bit dark and blurry
I really don't have a problem with the illumination that the paintings get, it gives them a feeling of pleasant somberness (but that may just be me), however it would improve indeed to have them be less blurry, that is some regrettable detail that is lost in the photo, maybe one day we will get to see them like they are supposed to be.
